The church is the people of God gathered together. It is a living thing and not just a building. Without its different members, coming with their various backgrounds, talents and gifts, there would be no church.

Although you can attend church services and communion without being a church member, membership of the church is a symbol of your commitment to Jesus’ call to follow him. It is an affirmation that you are going to try, with God’s help, to play your full part in building a community within and outwith the church.

Membership also means that:
* You can vote on church matters
* You are eligible to become an Elder of the church
